On Monday, July 6th, counselors Wes BeVier and Matt McCullough took six campers on a canoe trip from Clifford Stream, through Second Gardener Lake, and back to Camp Eagle Wing’s beach. In order to participate in the trip the  campers had to have earned their merit in canoeing.  The hard-working campers, Megan Morrison, Molly Majewicz, Megan Geier, Jon Lococo, Jay Beal, and Mike Funaro, were very excited for this opportunity.

 Some of the memorable events included getting lost, having to turn around to find the correct way, Matt and Wes flipping over Jon and Jay’s canoe, and searching for the right spot for lunch.

 The group journeyed about eight miles and were gone for nearly four hours.   The campers arrived back at the waterfront at approximately 3:00 with good memories and new friends.
