Trips

Trips are a regular part of the Camp Eagle Wing program.  The Downeast Area is home to dozens of pristine lakes, rivers, bold oceanfront, and wonderful hiking.  Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are also less than 2 hours away.  Both day and overnight trips are conducted on an almost daily basis.  Campers may sign up for trips of their choice. In a given week, campers might have the opportunity to hike Cadillac Mountain, sketch on the docks in Eastport, climb Otter Cliffs, paddle up to Second Gardner, kayak the Machias River, or tent on an island right on Gardner Lake. Our senior campers also have the opportunity to participate in some of our honor trips to hike at Schoodic, climb Mt Katahdin, or paddle the St. Croix.  Transportation is provided in the Camp Van, by licensed staff, and is provided at no additional charge.

Our Tripping Director, Jon Bishop, discusses the state of Maine and it’s numerous opportunities for off camp adventures.
Thank you for sending home a boy full of life, tales, and achievements!… We are so appreciative of the opportunity CEW provides him to tap into a different part of himself and to learn so many valuable life lessons. Parent
