Canoe trip at Camp Eagle Wing

The Camp Eagle Feather Experience

Rest time at Camp Eagle Wing
As an introduction to resident (overnight) camp, campers may elect to join the Bobcat Program. Bobcats begin their two-week camp session with a week at our day camp, Eagle Feather, in Rocky Hill, CT. Following a week of getting to know their fellow campers and staff, the Bobcats, and their counselor travel to Eagle Wing , in Maine, for their second week.
At Eagle Wing, the Bobcats stay in their own cabin with their
fellow Bobcats and counselor who have traveled with them. They are
joined by an Eagle Wing counselor who serves as their second bunk
counselor.
Once at Eagle Wing, Bobcats become part of the camp
community and participate in all camp activities along with the
Eagle Wing campers and staff.
Transportation to and from Maine is included in the Bobcat
tuition. The bus/van leaves and returns to the Eagle
Feather/School of Swimming parking lot in Rocky Hill.
Please note, the Bobcat Program is an introductory experience to
resident camp, not a replacement. Children may attend Eagle
Wing as a Bobcat, ONLY ONCE.
Following their Bobcat session, it is our hope that campers will,
in the following season, choose to become a regular Eagle Wing
camper.
Day camp is to resident camp, what high school is to college. For
some, it is preparatory to a course of rigorous social, moral and
physical education that is difficult to duplicate in other
ways or places. For more information regarding the Eagle
Wing Philosophy, please see the Philosophy section on the Eagle
Wing home page.
